As with all projects, each individual writer brings a distinctly unique amount of talent, but also (crucially) personal life experience, to their work. It can be difficult - sometimes even painful - to do the work needed to tap into these deep emotional wells. However, it is my belief that your subterranean emotional well is brimming with creative liquid gold!
I use a combination of disparate tools and methods when providing creative support of any kind, most of which centers around specific, detailed, constructive story development, evaluation and intimate council. For a general idea, my approach to examining any creative work meets at the intersection of three elements: archetypical investigation, Jungian psychotherapy, and the classical tenets of creative writing, including character development, story structure and establishment of a strong thematic core. Although I am not a clinical therapist, I also prefer to employ elements of narrative therapy, particularly when aiming to get to the heart of the matter, because it is my belief that this is where the real alchemy (magic!) of story and self conjoin, triggering a powerful emotional impact on any audience with exponential depth and breadth.
