Hello there…

As an only child of a hard-working single mother and growing up in the 80s and 90s, I spent a ton of time alone in front of the television watching (and re-watching) a myriad of films via pirated VHS tapes. My obsession led to acting in local theatre throughout my teen years and eventually brought me to Los Angeles where I attended film school at Art Center in Pasadena, California. After getting my BFA in film (2006), I began to work in production in Hollywood where I eventually joined the union, and over the course of decade, worked as a freelance Script Supervisor on more than 300 film and television productions. In 2018, my focus officially shifted to screenwriting. I moved to Europe to attend a creative writing master’s program at Cambridge University which I completed in the fall of 2020. Shortly after (Covid, ugh!), I moved back to the states and now work full-time as a freelance screenwriter, instructor and writing consultant from my home base in Missoula, Montana. I’ve worked a wide variety of project types, including development of long and short form narrative scripts, editing of both fiction and nonfiction literature, and high-end commercial branding. I am currently developing yet another coming-of-age feature spec script, because I find the study of character transformation, specifically through various rites of passage, endlessly fascinating. Listening to and sharing personal stories is what truly lights me up! That, and the in-depth study of the psyche and human development through the lens of astrology and archetype.
